AJL in colaboration with the IOBA technical specialist has developed highly purified siliconee oil,free of low-molecular-weight-components (LMWC) and of a viscosity of 1.000 Cs & 5.000 Cs .

SIOBAL is used as a therapeutic means to obtain a long term internal tamponade effect,as the silicone oils volume,as distinct from gases,volume remains constant after being injected into the eye.
AJL uses a vacuum molecular distillation technic described by refojo and cols (1.990).

SIOBAL Silicone Oil is used as a vitreous alternative or as a tamponade agent in complex cases of retinal detachment which cannot be repaired by other methods,proliferative vitreorretinopathy,perforating injuries,proliferative diabetic retinopathy,etc.
